Bjorgvin Thor Thorsteinsson - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Bjorgvin is an Icelandic entrepreneur, capital markets specialist, and founder focused on creating value in private companies and international growth opportunities.

Over the past several years, he has worked on projects involving public companies, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private company listings, and international corporate transactions.

His current focus is identifying and developing valuable businesses and assets that can benefit from professional structuring, strategic partnerships, and access to international capital markets.

Björgvin is involved in projects across Europe and the United Kingdom, with a particular interest in business development, technology, financial services, and capital market infrastructure.

His objective is to connect quality businesses and assets with experienced investors, advisors, and public market opportunities to create long-term shareholder value.

Michael Burton - Executive Director

Michael has worked for Harrogate Group plc for several years and most recently re-joined as director in 2023. 

He has extensive experience in corporate administration and finance across various sectors in the UK and USA including roles with Barclays Bank, Shell, Glaxo Smith Kline, Aviva, Arco, Xerox, Santander, Kings College London, and BP where he was interim Financial Controller. 

Michael is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority as a Money Laundering Regulatory Officer (MLRO) and is a member of the Bank of England Decision Maker Panel.

Emma Brealey - Executive Director

Emma has considerable experience as a company director predominantly in the hospitality and leisure sector.

In 2019 she was awarded the prestigious Business Woman of the Year award in the Enterprising Women Awards and was named runner-up Director of the Year in the 2018 Family Business Awards.

Emma and her family are significant shareholders in Harrogate Group plc.

Harminder Chalal – Non-Executive Director

With extensive experience in business development and executive-level sales leadership, Harminder has built a career on driving revenue growth, creating opportunities, and forging strategic partnerships across competitive markets. 

Throughout his tenure, he has consistently exceeded sales targets and financial objectives, demonstrating a proven ability to deliver sustainable results. 

His leadership within the UK telecommunications sector has played a pivotal role in shaping and setting up the nation’s infrastructure for the next 20 years ensuring it can meet evolving network and technology demands. 

This forward-looking experience has provided him with deep insight into future trends and growth opportunities within the technology sector, enabling him to strategically position the company to capitalise on innovation and maximise long-term commercial success.

With over a decade of experience in the UK financial services sector, Sanjave brings deep expertise in investment strategy and market forecasting. 

As Director of Strategic Growth & Acquisitions, he drives the company’s expansion through the identification, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and property investments. 

His proven track record in anticipating market trends, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding ethical business standards has consistently delivered sustainable growth.
